IND vs AUS final: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif join the match but there’s a twist

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are the latest to join the IND vs AUS World Cup final. The two have been promoting their film Tiger 3 and Salman was a part of the semi-finals between India and New Zealand too. This time though, neither Salman nor Katrina are physically present at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the match is being held.

The big twist is that Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, while present at the IND vs AUS World Cup final, are not physically there. They are present through a hologram of themselves. This is something new that has been witnessed with the match. Currently, both Salman and Katrina are caught up with a lot of their professional commitments and thus, they could not be physically present at the stadium. It is to be noted the match is here after Tiger 3 released in theatres.

What they wore

Katrina went true blue. She donned the India jersey with denims while joining Salman and the other commentators, including Harbhajan Singh. Salman, on the other hand, wore a denim shirt with dark blue jeans.

About Tiger 3

Tiger 3 is now in theatres. It released on Sunday, on the eve of Diwali. The movie is helmed by Maneesh Sharma. He brings back ‘Tiger’ Salman Khan and ‘Zoya’ Katrina Kaif from the franchise. The earlier films, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, were helmed by Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar respectively. Tiger 3 is also a part of the YRF Spy Universe, which includes Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan’s War. Tiger 3 introduced Emraan Hashmi to the franchise. He played the lead antagonist in the film. Thus, do not be surprised to see him in other films from the universe.

After Tiger 3, YRF will be releasing War 2, helmed by Ayan Mukerji. The original film was directed by Pathaan maker, Siddharth Anand. Interestingly, War 2 will see John Abraham reprise his role from Pathaan. Shah Rukh Khan made his cameo appearance as Pathaan in Tiger 3, just like ‘Tiger’ Salman appeared in Pathaan. War 2 is now scheduled to release on January 25, 2025.
