India at Oscars 2023: Deepika Padukone hobnobs with Ram Charan, Mindy Kaling; PICS

Not just India’s two historic wins at the recently concluded Oscars, even Deepika Padukone’s presence at the coveted event has made the nation proud.

The actress, who was one of the presenters at the 95th Academy Awards, looked ravishing in a classic off-shoulder Louis Vuitton velvet gown and matching gloves. As for her jewelry, DP opted for Cartier statement neckpiece and finished the look with rings on both hands and a pair of diamond bracelets. Deepika tied her hair in a messy bun and went for a clean, barely there make-up.

India won Oscars under the Best Documentary Short Film (The Elephant Whisperers) and Best Original Song (Naatu Naatu from the movie RRR) categories, while Deepika Padukone became the third Indian celebrity to present at the Oscars.

For their special win, filmmaker SS Rajamouli, along with lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR, represented RRR and were joined by their families and other members of the film's crew.

At the event, Deepika and Ram Charan were seen hobnobbing with stars from the Western world, such as Mindy Kaling.

Viral photos of the American actor-screenwriter, who is of Indian origin, have surfaced on the internet in which the Never Have I Ever creator can be seen posing with Deepika Padukone and Ram Charan.

Kaling and Deepika posed for a selfie during the Oscars main event, and both the stars looked absolutely stunning in their black outfits for the night.

Later at night, during the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, Mindy Kaling also posed for pictures with Ram Charan and his wife Upasana. Within seconds of the photograph appearing online, it went viral and has been liked by millions and reshared by fans of these stars.

To mark their historic win at the Oscars, the entire team of RRR was reportedly partying till wee hours of the morning at SS Rajamouli's Los Angeles home.
