Actor Yash, the certified Rocking Star, isn't known to be the most active celebrity on social media but every time he does appear online with a post or two, everyone takes due notice. And with Indian cinema faring incredibly well at the 95th Academy Awards with not one but two amazing wins, many were keenly looking forward to what the KGF 2 had to say about these rare feats and just as hoped, Yash has spoken!

Earlier today, on March 13th, Yash took to Twitter to shower compliments on the winners, namely team RRR and team Elephant Whisperers, and congratulate them on the momentous victories. He would first highlight the fact that Naatu Naatu became the first song from an Indian production to win an Oscar in the Best Original Song category, before going on to congratulate music composer MM Keeravani, lyricist Chandrabose, RRR director S.S. Rajamouli and the film's two leading men Ram Charan & NTR Jr. on the stellar win.

Previously, AR Rahman, aside from the Academy Award for Best Original Score, won the Oscar for Best Original Song along with legendary lyricist Gulzar for the song 'Jai Ho' from Slumdog Millionaire. However, with the film being a UK production, Naatu Naatu becomes the first ever Indian song to win an Oscar.

Yash also sang high praise for documentary filmmaker Kartiki Gonsalves whose film The Elephant Whisperers won the Academy Award in the Best Documentary Short Film category. Gonsalves was joined by the film's producer Guneet Monga as the duo walked onto the Oscars stage to accept the award amid all the cheers and applause.

"Congratulations @earthspectrum (Kartiki Gonsalves) @guneetm (Guneet Monga) and team of The Elephant Whisperers for bringing home the first ever Oscar for an Indian production.Through your work and conviction, you have proven that both emotions and resilience transcend all forms and boundaries. Onwards and Upwards," wrote Yash in his tweet.

Not very long ago, Pathaan and Jawan star Shah Rukh Khan congratulated the two winners and deemed both wins to be truly inspirational. Noted personalities from across various fields have acknowledged the significance of the Oscar victories and showered praise on everyone involved.
