Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and Sachin Tendulkar receive golden tickets

The Hindu has a confirmed report that Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will watch the eagerly-awaited India vs. Pakistan World Cup match live in Ahmedabad on October 14. The legendary actors were presented golden tickets by BCCI secretary Jay Shah. Former Team India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has also received the ticket. 

Musician Arijit Singh will be performing at a special ceremony before the match, where Sukhwinder Singh and Shankar Mahadevan will also take to the stage.

About the India vs. Pakistan match

Both India and Pakistan have done well in the 2023 World Cup so far. India has defeated Australia and Afghanistan to get to the second position in the Cricket World Cup 2023 Points Table, with four points and an impressive run rate of +1.500. Meanwhile, Pakistan is in the third spot, with four points and a run rate of +0.927, after beating the Netherlands and Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan, who recently celebrated his 81st birthday, will be seen next in filmmaker Nag Ashwin's movie Kalki 2898 AD. The movie, produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, is set in a dystopian world and also stars Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.

Rajinikanth will have an extended cameo in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's directorial comeback, Lal Salaam. The film is slated to be released in theatres during Pongal 2024.
