The team of Indian 2 is currently in Taiwan filming for a short schedule, which we hear, spans a mere 8 days. It was only recently that Kamal Haasan had posted a picture from the airport and now, the film's director Shankar has posted a picture from the set, in which he is seen reading the scenes. After the schedule, the team will head to South Africa where they will be shooting for a month.
The shooting for Indian 2 has been happening at a brisk space and the Ulaganayagan has been dropping pictures from time to time. The film has an ensemble cast, which includes Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Vennela Kishore, George Maryan, Manobala, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash and others.
Gulshan Grover had recently revealed that the team had shot a grand song sequence picturised on him and that it was one of the most expensive songs made on a villain. The actor called Kamal Haasan one of the finest actors in the industry.
Indian 2 is a sequel to the vigilante thriller of the same name Indian (1996), which was written and directed by S Shankar. Kamal Haasan will be reprising his iconic character from the film, Senapathy and director Shankar had given a glimpse of the same on Kamal Haasan's birthday in November last year.
Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman and editing is by A Sreekar Prasad.
In the meantime, Shankar is also busy with the shoot of Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's Game Changer, another big budget film which has a story penned by Karthik Subbaraj. It is speculated that both films might release around the same time, without a huge gap. Director Shankar has been dropping pictures from the location of Game Changer as well which was until recently being referred to as RC15.
