The shoot for Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's upcoming film Indian 2 is in full swing. Today, Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover, who is said to be playing a crucial role in the film, dropped pictures from the set. In the pictures, Gulshan and Kamal Haasan are seen bonding like a house on fire and sharing some heart-warming moments.

Gulshan stated that it was the excitement of working with a legend like Kamal Haasan and the visionary director Shankar that made him that happy. He captioned the pictures, "Excitement of filming with Great Kamal Haasan @ikamalhaasan for #Indian2 under Visionary Director @shankarshanmugh is ON ! @Rakulpreet @MsKajalAggarwal @priya_Bshankar @Udhaystalin @RedGiantMovies_ @LycaProductions (sic)." The film has an ensemble star cast including Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash and Vennela Kishore.

The shoot for the film had earlier begun in 2020 but it came to a halt after a freak accident on the sets which resulted in the loss of crew members. The pandemic further put a brake on the shoot. Interestingly, the film marks Shankar's reunion with Kamal Haasan after a span of 24 years. Music for Indian 2 is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman and editing by A Sreekar Prasad.

The sequel, too, is said to be vigilante thriller just like the original Indian, which starred Kamal Haasan, Nedumudi Venu, Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Sukanya, Kasthuri, Goundamani, Senthil, Nizhalgal Ravi to name a few. Kamal Haasan played a dual role in the original- that of a veteran Indian freedom fighter Senapathy who takes on the corrupt system and as his son, Chandrabose, a vehicle inspector. Kamal Haasan will be reprising the character of Senapathy in the sequel and a new poster was released on the occasion of the actor's birthday on November 7.
