Indian 2 star Kamal Haasan to hoist the Tricolour at an event in the US

It looks like Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is all set to host the Tricolour in the US. The actor will be hoisting the Indian National flag at an event organised by the Association of Indo Americans (AIA). Kamal Haasan will also be honoured for completing 63 years in the film industry and inspiring many aspiring film enthusiasts and actors with his work. 

Kamal Haasan is in the US for the prep work of his upcoming film Indian 2, which will be directed by Shankar. The film is considered to be a sequel to Indian, the vigilante thriller, which hit screens in 1996. Indian had Kamal Haasan, Urmila Matondkar, Manisha Koirala in the lead and had music by AR Rahman. The original, too, was directed by Shankar. Indian 2 will have an ensemble cast as well comprising Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Samuthirakani, Guru Somasundaram, Bobby Simhaa. Music for Indian 2 will be by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman and editing by A Sreekar Prasad.

The shoot had begun earlier in 2019 in Chennai, Rajahmundry and Bhopal, but it came to a halt after a freak accident on the sets, which led to the death of a few members of the crew. Later, the pandemic, too, put a brake on the shoot. Indian 2 is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. In the meantime, Kamal Haasan got busy with Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram, which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of his career.

In the meantime, Kamal Haasan has completed 63 years in the film industry. The actor, who made his debut as a child artiste with Kalathur Kannamma is the pride of Indian cinema and his repertoire of work includes some brilliant films that are testimony to his talent and thoughts. His achievements in the industry remain unmatched!
