Indian Idol 14 on OTT: When and where to watch Kumar Sanu, Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal-judged reality show online

The new season of Indian Idol is all set for its premiere this coming week. The 14th season of the hit singing-based reality show has Kumar Sanu, Vishal Dadlani, and Shreya Ghoshal as the judges, while Hussain Kuwajerwala will be hosting it. Now, on SonyLIV, Indian Idol Season 14 will premiere on October 7, 2023, mostly around the same time it airs on Sony TV.

Changes in hosting and judging panel:

Hussain, for the uninitiated, is hosting Indian Idol again after an absence of eight years. Not only did they bring in a new host, but they also brought in two new judges. Shreya Ghoshal, Kumar Sanu, and Vishal Dadlani will be the judges for Indian Idol 14 in place of Neha Kakkar and Himesh Reshamiya. His commitment to the upcoming season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa provided an explanation for Himesh's departure; however, Neha's departure is still unknown.

Kumar Sanu on Indian Idol 14:

While talking about being a part of Indian Idol 14, Kumar Sanu said in a statement that the reality show has provided a stage upon which singers can exhibit their talents and carve out a name for themselves in the industry. It's encouraging to see that young people nowadays have more opportunities to show off their skills and make progress in their chosen fields.

Although the singer appeared as a guest on the show before, playing the role of a judge is a whole other ballgame! It is sometimes remarked that music reaches one on an emotional level, where words alone fall short, when referring to the art of singing. Kumar Sanu can't wait to see how the youth of today move them to tears with their flawless 'Sur' and 'Taal,' and impress them with the nuance of their 'Alaap.' He is crossing his fingers that this is the year they find a true singing gem.

Details on auditions:

The period for receiving ground-based applications was from July 8, 2023, to August 27, 2023. The auditions were held in Kolkata, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Bhopal, and Mumbai.

Winner of Season 13

Rishi Singh of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, won Season 13 of Indian Idol earlier this year, and he also received Rs. 25 lakh in prize money.
