The stars are aligning again as Sima Taparia is set to return with the second season of Indian Matchmaking. The Emmy nominated show has been renewed for another season and it ain't surprising as the first season ended on a slight cliffhanger. Even in the upcoming instalment, Sima will be travelling across the globe to match two singles who are seeking love and marriage.

She is returning to help some familiar faces and new singletons across the globe who have decided that it’s time to put their love lives in the hands of the expert.

Indian Matchmaking is produced by Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), LLC. While the Executive producers are Aaron Saidman, Eli Holzman, Smriti Mundhra, and JC Begley.

The first season was streamed in July 2020 and is now nominated at upcoming Emmys in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.

Talking about the synopsis of Indian Matchmaking, the makers described it as "What happens when you’re ready to meet someone but the dating apps feel superficial and aren’t yielding the desired results? Meet the single millennials who have decided that it’s time to revisit methods from the past and look to the experts"

In eight episodes, Sima learns about her clients with painstaking precision while going from interests and ambitions to in-depth astrological readings. She guides them towards their perfect match. Talking about locations, from Houston, Chicago to Mumbai, young singles go on the fun as well as awkward first dates. They often go with their family to discover whether these good-on-paper matches can turn into a love that lasts a lifetime.

The first season was criticised heavily by the people for its regressive approach but yet garnered millions of views across the globe. Many binge-watched the series and Indian Matchmaking became a topic of discussion instantly on the Internet.
