After Torulatar Bhoot, Ishaa Saha and Indraneil Sengupta are back together in Sudeshna Roy and Abhijeet Guha’s next, Titin. In the family drama, Paayel Sarkar will play the character of Indraneil’s wife.

In an interview with Anandabazar, Sudeshna said that this is a story of a relationship. It delves into the life of a father, played by Indraneil, and how he takes care of his little daughter. Ishaa plays an important character in the film.

Meanwhile, Indraneil and Ishaa were linked up after their 2021 film, Torulatar Bhoot. After much denial from both the actors, the speculations of their relationship finally took a backseat. Now, they are back together in the film.

In the Anandabazar interview, Sudeshna also said that Rana (Abhijeet) and Indraneil became friendly while shooting Sandip Ray’s Feluda. It is during that time that Indraneil heard the story and agreed to work on the project. In Hatyapuri, the actor plays Feluda – Satyajit Ray’s iconic sleuth, and Abhijeet plays Jatayu – Feluda’s friend and sidekick.

Sudeshna and Abhijit have penned the script with Rohit-Soumya. In the film, husband and wife Indraneil and Paayel have a daughter, Titin. Paayel is career-minded. At one point in time, she leaves her husband and daughter. At that point, Indraneil seeks help from Ishaa. Slowly, she becomes the little child’s mother figure. Around this time, Paayel comes back. A portion of the shooting will take place in Kolkata and the rest will take place in London in the upcoming fall.

Meanwhile, Paayel told Anandabazar that she took up the role to counter conventional ideas. She also clarified that the film does not judge any character and rather portrays how every individual has their mind. “Every individual has their own choice. A mother can prioritise her career. The film shows what happens if a mother chooses her career over her family. It does not take a right-wrong stand,” said the actress in the interview.
