Indrani Halder to host a non-fiction reality TV show

Actress Indrani Halder’s Sreemoyee on Star Jalsha was a hit show that has later been made in multiple languages. Its Hindi adaptation Anupamaa, in which Rupali Ganguly plays the lead, has broken many records and become everyone’s favorite. The Marathi Adaptation, Aai Kuthe Kay Karte, has also been a popular TV show. However, Sreemoyee ended in December last year. Now Indrani is making her comeback on television with a non-fiction show. According to media reports, it is a new game show on Zee Bangla, where Indrani will play the host. 

Instead of a confined studio, the game show will take place in different localities. The USP is that Indrani will travel across Bengal for the show. However, the channel authority of Zee Bangla has not yet officially divulged any details. In fact, even Indrani could not say much as she said that she is also not very clear about the concept. However, according to reports, her look set was completed on Thursday. As per sources close to the show, Indrani will be seen in traditional attire with a woman-next-door look. In an interview with Anandabazar, she said, “I can not comment on anything. A look has been set, but I am not sure what it is for.” 

Rachna Bannerjee’s Didi Number 1 has been a successful game show on this channel. On the other hand, Indrani is a popular face in fiction works on TV. She started her second innings on the small screen with Goenda Ginni. Is she coming now to compete with Rachna Banerjee? The promo shooting is slated to take place next week. The show is supposed to start before Durga Puja. After the puja, Indrani is debuting in a web series, where she will play the role of a political leader. Meanwhile, the actress has also hinted at the second season of Goyenda Ginni.
