There's considerable excitement around India's first supergirl film Indrani, whose shoot took off earlier this year. A larger-than-life fantasy film with a time-travel angle, Indrani stars Yaanea Bharadwaj, Kabir Duhan Singh, Franitha Jijina, Garima Kaushal, Shataf Figar, Sapthagiri, Dhanraj and Madhunandan in important roles. The film is written, directed and produced by Stephen (under Shray Motion Pictures). The makers have even announced its release date - October 27.
Earlier this week, the Indrani team had unveiled the first look of actress Garima Kaushal from Indrani, adding that she is cast in a very important role in the film and that the entire plot revolves around her. In the poster, Garima appears vulnerable, in need of help, injured while dressed in a black top and jeans. Will the supergirl come into action to rescue her from trouble? We shall know soon.
Apparently, during a story discussion, as director Stephen was explaining Indrani's plot to music director Sai Kartheek, the latter was so inspired by the premise that he instantly came up with the caption 'Save the Girl to Save the World' and also promised to compose a special title sequence song based on this caption. Indrani is a rare film blending sci-fi with a superhero story and is a melange of comedy, adventure, emotion, thrills, drama, dance and action sequences, replete with ingredients one expects out of a complete commercial entertainer.
The makers are working against time to complete the film's shoot as per schedule. The first look of Kabir Duhan Singh, Shataf Figar and the making video of Indrani were released some time ago. Charan Madhavaneni cranks the camera for the film which will be edited by SB Uddhav. Premsun is the action director and Ravikumar Gurram is the art director respectively. Stanley Suman Babu is the executive producer.
