Indu 2: Ishaa Saha, others get busy shooting the second season

The much-anticipated second season of Indu will be dropped on Houchoi early next year. Ishaa Saha, aka Indu, will finally appear again and solve the series of mysteries at her in-laws’ house. A few days ago, a grandeur event was organised to celebrate the sixth anniversary of Hoichoi, where a number of new series were announced. Indu 2 was among them. The shooting started on Friday with Abhimanyu Mukhopadhyay as the director. However, Sahana Dutta will be the showrunner of Indu 2. 

The story starts with the marriage of Indrani aka Indu. This is the second time her marriage is fixed as her sister ran away with her previous would-be groom. She gets married this time. A housewife in an aristocratic and wealthy family, Indu faces a series of mysterious problems after coming to her in-law’s place. On the morning of her wedding, a fish came as her tatwa from her in-law’s house, and then a poisonous leaf is discovered from the fish. Many incidents, including a needle getting stuck in the leg, make her suspicious. She realises that a lot has happened in her in-laws’ house that is kept undercover. But before solving the mysterious events, season one ended. By the end of the show, the tensions were left unattended. Indu 2 starts from there. 

The shooting took place in Belgachia Rajbari. Ishaa Saha plays the role of Indu. Suhatro Mukhopadhyay, Judhajit Sarkar, Manashi Barua, Payel Dey, and others also play different roles. Subrata Banik is the art director and Anujit Kundu is the DOP. Rabi Ranjan Moitra is the editor. Sahana Dutta, as in season one, is the writer and creative planner of the show.
