Indu: Avika Gor to play Ishaa Saha’s character in Telugu for Disney+ Hotstar

Ishaa Saha’s thriller Indu, one of the most talked about web series from Hoichoi, will now be made in other Indian regional languages. The series that became an instant hit after the release of its first season was scheduled to be made in Hindi. However. Now the series will also be made in Telugu. Avika Gor, who played Anandi in Balika Vadhu and Roli in Sasural Simar Ka will play the character. 

Avika was in Kolkata last week and celebrated the Bengali new year – Poila Boishakh – in the city. She posted a cute photo with Ishaa. There were speculations after she was seen with the Bengali actress. Netizens asked if she would be working in Bengali. However, The actress herself stated that the web series will now be made in Telugu on Disney+ Hotstar.

It was so amazing meeting so many actors and filmmakers from Kolkata! @ishaasaha_official the original Indu! It’s definitely going to be challenging for me to play “Indu” I like the fact that you have set such a benchmark with your brilliant performance! I’m so excited! The first season of Indu was dropped in 2021 on Hoichoi. Besides Ishaa, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay and others were seen in key roles. In 2023, the second season was dropped. The second season gives a clear indication of the third season. We will have to wait for further announcements for the next season.
