Ever since Dear Zindagi released, people were waiting to see Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt play the lead roles once again. The dream might just come true sooner than expected. Latest reports suggest that Salman Khan’s exit has paved way for Shah Rukh Khan to pair up with Alia Bhatt for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.
Post Salman’s exit, reports suggested that SLB might have put the project on the backburner. Now, it looks like the film might just be back on track.
In fact, Salman Khan hinted about it at a recent awards show. When Gangubai Kathiawadi dialogue writer Utkarshini Vashishtha took the award for the film, she thanked God for Alia Bhatt and Salman said ‘Inshallah.’

While Shah Rukh Khan remains tight-lipped about the film, KoiMoi notes that there are newspaper clippings which suggest that he has been finalized for the film. The actor is likely to speak about the same after Jawan release in June.
SRK is currently shooting for Dunki in Kashmir. The actor is likely to begin work on Inshallah between June and December. He was expected to start working on Tiger vs Pathaan, co-incidentally also starring Salman Khan. However, that film might not take off this year.
Inshallah is a romantic comedy and according to a previous report on Pinkvilla, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was keen to cast two megastars from the 90s for his movie. His collaboration with Salman, if reports are anything to go by, fell apart due to financial differences.
SLB has reportedly offered Alia four movies, including Gangubai Kathiawadi and Inshallah. He had worked with Deepika Padukone in three movies – Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
On the work front, SRK will be seen in Jawan. He is also a part of Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki following that. Alia, on the other hand, has Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani co-starring Ranveer Singh.
