Freida Pinto in Intrusion

Who builds a house in a completely deserted area and does not expect any disturbing events to happen? The upcoming Freida Pinto-starrer, titled Intrusion has a married couple that does exactly that. Starring the Slumdog Millionaire actor and Logan Marshall-Green as the on screen married couple, Intrusion revolves around the deadly occurrences faced by the wife after an alleged break-in at the house. Directed by Adam Salky, the movie is all set to come out on Netflix.

According to a report of Decider, Pinto portrays the role of a breast cancer survivor, Meera, who moves into a new home designed by her architect husband. Salky talked about wanting the viewers to know Meera’s background of being a survivor of the disease before they start watching the rest of the movie. He mentioned that they start a new life in the wake of her remission away from city life, where she’s shown to be healthy.

Everything seems perfect in the beginning, when the adorable husband and wife move into a huge house in a deserted area in a small town. Reading that sentence is enough to realise that terrible incidents are bound to happen to them.

“When their house gets broken into twice in so many days, it makes Meera start to question why they moved to this place, and who the people around her really are. The movie is about the terrifying unknowability of people,” Salky said.

She comes home to a loving husband who is supporting and caring to her, but is he carrying something more unsettling than he’s letting on? All these questions will be answered on Netflix when Intrusion starts streaming on September 22.
