Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan is now married to Nupur Shikhare. After their intimate engagement last year, the couple registered their marriage yesterday (January 3) in Mumbai. The ceremony saw only their close friends and family members in attendance. While grooms usually come on a horse for their baarat, Nupur opted to jog to his wedding venue. A day after their wedding, Ira has now revealed her reaction to her husband's unusual baarat.

Ira Khan shared a series of unseen photos from her and Nupur Shikhare's wedding on her Instagram stories. The actress also commented on her hubby's baarat. "He didn't come on a horse. He ran to the venue. And I placed cute posters along the venue (sic)." For the uninitiated, Nupur ran 8km along with his buddies to reach Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai.
Upon reaching the venue, the fitness coach danced his heart out to dhol beats. Nupur also received a warm welcome from his father-in-law, Aamir Khan. Later, Ira and Nupur registered their marriage and made their first appearance as husband and wife.

Once they were done withe the formalities, Ira and Nupur happily posed for the shutterbugs. Aamir Khan, too, posted with the couple. The actor's ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao with their sons Junaid Khan and Azad Rao came together for a happy family portrait. Aamir was also seen planting a kiss on his ex-wife Kiran's cheek.

While their marriage is officially registered, Ira and Nupur are expected to get married in Udaipur on January 8, 2024. It is likely to be a lavish ceremony with their families and friends in attendance. Following their Udaipur wedding, the couple might host a grand wedding reception in Mumbai on January 13. It will be attended by the big names from the Hindi film industry.
