Irai: Sarath Kumar’s web series to premiere on aha Tamil on THIS date

Sarath Kumar’s upcoming Tamil web series has finally got a release date. The upcoming crime thriller will premiere on aha Tamil on February 18, 2022.

The exciting news was announced by Taapsee Pannu on her official Twitter handle recently. The post featured an intriguing new poster for the upcoming web series as well, which featured a silhouette of Sarath. Within the silhouette is an image of a forest, with tall trees and birds in flight. A cabin is also pictured, with outlines of a group of small children right beside it. In the caption of the post, Pannu gave Sarath her best wishes on the latter’s OTT journey.

The upcoming series is based on the book Birds of Prey, written by Archana Sarat. It revolves around the story of an ex-police officer who finds himself involved in an investigation into the mysterious disappearances of men who come from affluent families. His investigations lead him down a dark road, which involves a series of atrocities, dating back years. During the course of uncovering the mystery, the officer finds himself in some tight and life-threatening situations.

Irai is directed by Rajesh M Selva and produced by Radikaa Sarath Kumar under her banner Radaan Mediaworks. The series will have music composed by Ghibran and its action sequences choreographed by Silva. The series is edited by San Lokesh while the cinematography is done by Yuvaraj.

Meanwhile, Sarath’s next outing is Ponniyin Selvan, which is helmed by Mani Ratnam. He will also be seen in Pirandhal Parasakthi, sharing the screen with Radikaa and Varalaxmi.
