Iravin Nizhal actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar tests positive for COVID-19; urges everyone to mask up!

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has tested positive for COVID-19. The actress dropped a video on her social media page in which she stated that she had contracted the virus, despite taking all the precautions. She also urged those who came in contact with her to get themselves checked. The Iravin Nizhal actress advised everyone to mask up and continue to follow COVID-19 safety protocol. She wrote on her social media page,"Covid Positive..inspite of all precautions..actors plz start insisting on masking up the entire crew bcos we as actors cant wear masks.. Those who have met me or been in contact with me plz watch out for symptoms and get checked.. Plz be careful and mask up..covid is still here, (sic)" she wrote on her social media pages. (sic)

On the film front, the actress's latest outing Iravin Nizhal has just hit screens. Iravin Nizhal, written, directed and produced by Parthiban, is said to be the world's first non-linear single shot film. The film stars R Parthiban, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Robo Shankar, Priyanka Ruth and Brigida Saga in pivotal roles. Varalaxmi plays Premakumari, a godwoman who, is a confidante of Premananda, a fake godman, played by Robo Shankar. 

Taking to her social media page, Varalaxmi had recently shared a BTS video, and had captioned it, "There's ntn to say about this man than call him a GENIUS..plz go watch this film in a theatre..amazing how so many ppl hv come together to make this one man's dream a reality @rparthiepan sir all the very best for #IravinNizhal legend @arrahman sir and the entire team..thank u 🙏 (sic)."

Music for the film is by AR Rahman. While the cinematography is Arthur Wilson, Craig Mann has handled the sound editing of the film. Iravin Nizhal has been basking in the rave reviews for the unique attempt at filmmaking. 

Varalaxmi also has in hand Poikkal Kuthirai, Sabari, Kaatteri, Hanu Man and Yashoda to name a few.
