After the massive theatrical release of Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, director Rohit Shetty is gearing up for a third instalment to the cop drama Singham. This will be the third sequel to Ajay Devgn starrer Singham, which will mark the fifth film in Shetty’s Cop Universe preceded by Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba and Sooryavanshi.

Even though an official announcement is yet to be out, it is widely buzzed that Devgn’s fearless cop is about to make a stylish return. The climax of the latest release Sooryavanshi also suggests the same, where Devgn’s Singham makes a cameo appearance, hinting at the third part of his hit franchise.

According to Pinkvilla’s report, the cop drama will be set against the backdrop of border terrorism, and the central character will be dealing with India-Pakistan issues. He will reportedly travel to Pak Occupied Kashmir, to deal with terrorists, while Singham and Singham Returns were set in Goa and Mumbai respectively. The flick is also likely to be a battlefield between Devgn and Jackie Shroff, picking up from where Sooryavanshi concluded the story. 

As the cameo of Ranveer Singh and Devgn has lighted up the Akshay Kumar starrer, Singham 3 is also expected to bring the same. Akshay and Ranveer are likely to reprise their cop roles as well in the upcoming. However, many details about the film are still under wrap, which is expected to be out soon in the upcoming week. 

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is on another collaboration with Ranveer Singh for a light comedy Cirkus, which also includes Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. His cop-based series with Sidharth Malhotra is also in the pipeline. Ajay Devgn on the other hand is all set for the release of the SS Rajamouli upcoming RRR, where he has an extended cameo appearance. He has also donned the director’s hat for MayDay, which will be out on April 29, 2022.
