Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan stunned everyone by matching in black and introducing her brand-new coffee table book. The superstar not only reaffirmed his status as a devoted husband but also demonstrated his admiration for his talented wife. Gauri's career as an interior designer is chronicled in the coffee-table book My Life in a Design.

Some never-before-seen photographs of their home, Mannat, and their family—including Suhana, Aryan, and Abram—are included in the book. But here's the big announcement Gauri made at today's event: She said that it was far simpler to get Shah Rukh's dates than Aryan's. The book also includes some of her favourite projects. They have discussed everything in detail and exchanged visuals.

Meanwhile, a web series that Aryan is directing at the moment is his first foray into the world of filmmaking.

During the event, SRK mentioned that Gauri's first design job was for their house, Mannat. He explained that they loved the house when they bought it, but it was much above their means. Coming from Delhi, where bungalows are the norm, one is unprepared for the fact that apartments in Mumbai are much more expensive than bungalows. Simply put, they weren't used to it. SRK used to live at his director's house next to Taj Lands End before they moved to the bungalow.

The filmmaker gave it to them on loan so that they could use it as their base while making films. Shah Rukh and his family weren't exactly rolling in dough, and as soon as they started making a decent amount, they splurged on the bungalow. They paid a lot to fix it when we acquired it because it was broken. SRK couldn't afford the furniture, so they hired a designer; the lunch he served them while explaining his plans for the house cost more than he made in a year.

This is why SRK approached Gauri with the task of designing Mannat. But designing SRK's workplace was a challenge for her, as one can't fool him easily. One of the superstar's most memorable assignments was working in the Red Chillies office, where they had to assemble its many different vertices.
