Is Balakrishna replacing Nagarjuna as Bigg Boss Telugu host?

For the last few days, reports have been making the rounds that Nandamuri Balakrishna, who hosted Aha's Unstoppable with NBK, would now be the new host of Bigg Boss 9 Telugu. Fans were quite thrilled by the news, as many wanted the current host, Nagarjuna, to be replaced.

However, we at OTTplay have learned that Nagarjuna will return as the host for Season 9 as well. He renewed his contract just a few days ago for another year.

Balakrishna is known for his commanding hosting style and is considered a tough taskmaster. So when rumors emerged that the Ruler and Paisa Vasool star might host the show, fans and the general audience were excited. But that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

One of our sources close to the show revealed that the makers offered Nagarjuna a hefty paycheck to host the new season, and he signed on the dotted line.

The buzz in film circles is that the new season will premiere in September 2025, as announced. Nagarjuna has been hosting the show for the last six years, and many feel his style has become repetitive. He is generally cool with contestants and has been trolled for allegedly favoring a few.
