In an interview with Variety India, filmmaker Sudip Sharma was asked about the possibilities of Kohrra Season 3. He said, "I don’t know, honestly. Right now, I’m not even thinking about it. It’s just been one big thing off my back, finally. And I’m already on a set doing something else. So right now, I’m not thinking about it. But let’s see."

Instead, the filmmaker revealed that he is working on a “drastically” different genre from everything he has created so far. He said that he does not know feel-good films but speaking about lighter films, he said that he is already working on one.
"The next one is going to be drastically different from anything that I’ve done in the past. I don’t want to be boxed into one particular direction. These are stories that naturally attracted me all this while, but right now I’m gravitating toward other kinds of stories as well,” Sharma said.
Sudip Sharma on what works for Kohrra Season 2
While promoting Kohrra Season 2, Sudip Sharma mentioned that he genuinely wished he knew why the series works, because then everything he created would automatically succeed. He explained that he believes success depends on multiple factors, the most important being the people involved and the characters created.
"In cinema, you can get away with spectacle. In long-form, you cannot. When a person is sitting on his couch with the remote in his hand and has a million options — the first being to look at his phone instead of watching TV — for him to go from one episode to another, the characters have to take him along," he said.
Sharma further explains that if the characters fail to take the audience along on the journey, then the series will not be successful, regardless of the genre. He pointed out that the most important aspect is to create characters that are layered and so interesting that the audience can either relate to them or wonder about their motivations.
