Is Dhanush the busiest star in Tamil with six films in his kitty?

Dhanush took his fans by surprise on Sunday morning when he announced yet another project with his Captain Miller director Arun Matheswaran. The film will be bankrolled by Dhanush's home production, Wunderbar Films and is said to be a biggie, just like Captain Miller, which is one of the most awaited films in the industry.

With this announcement, the actor now has a long line-up of films, which span up to 2026. The projects include D 50, D 51, a film with Mari Selvaraj and Tere Ishk Mein. The shoot for D 50, for which Dhanush dons the director's hat yet again after Pa Paandi, has already begun. The film is said to be a gangster story set in North Madras. D 50 is bankrolled by Sun Pictures, and the announcement poster released by the team showed smoke billowing out of a crowded settlement.

Sundeep Kishan, Anikha Surendran are also said to be part of the star cast. The buzz is that the team will wrap up the film in a quick span with continuous shoots. D 50 marks Dhanush's second project with Sun Pictures after the blockbuster Thiruchitrambalam.

D 51 is helmed by Sekhar Kammula and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The team recently dropped a poster which had currency notes stacked in the middle of a rich and poor settlement and is said to revolve around money. Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao are producing the film. D 51 is Dhanush's second project with a Tollywood director after Vaathi (Sir in Telugu).

The actor will also be teaming up for another project with his Karnan director Mari Selvaraj. However, details of the film are yet to be announced.

In Bollywood, Dhanush is once again teaming up with Raanjhana director Aanand L Rai. The filmmaker said in his social media post, "There couldn't be a more perfect day to unveil our next venture, 'Tere Ishk Mein,' with Dhanush. Raanjhanaa' holds a special place in my heart, and the love and adoration it continues to receive from fans worldwide is truly heartwarming."

With such a promising line-up, Dhanush is sure one of the busiest actors in Tamil cinema.
