John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor starrer Ek Villain Returns is all set to hit cinemas soon. Backed by Ekta Kapoor, the romantic thriller film also stars Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in major roles. The famous Indian producer is currently making the headlines due to her recent clarification on Kamaal R Khan's claims that the film was copied from a Korean film.

Last month, KRK shared his review on Ek Villain Returns trailer and claimed that the latest sequel, as well as the Shraddha Kapoor and Siddhart Malhotra starrer Ek Villain, are copied from Korean films. Interestingly, Kamal has also been a part of the 2014 film, which has a similar plot line to the Korean thriller I Saw the Devil.

Meanwhile, according to a report on India Today, Ekta has replied to the KRK's claim and mentioned that Mohit (Suri) shared two scripts with her and the script she liked the most has been worked on by the director himself. She further added, "I said ki Villain franchise has to be much bigger this time."

To answer KRK's claim, the filmmaker answered that whoever will listen to it won't say no and it hasn't been made in any other language. "I don’t know what Korean Mr KRK is watching. But he seems to know more than I know I do I think,” she added.

Meanwhile, the makers have released the latest song called Shaamat which has been crooned by Tara Sutaria and Ankit Tiwari, and penned by Prince Dubey.

The Mohit Suri directorial also stars J. D. Chakravarthy, Riteish Deshmukh as Rakesh Mahadkar (archived footage from the film Ek Villain) and Badshah.

Ek Villain Returns is slated to have a theatrical release on July 29.
