Josh Brolin had everyone at his fingertips as Thanos, the big bad villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. The actor has now opened up about his role as the Mad Titan, saying he is open to returning in future movies.

In an appearance on the Jess Cagle Show on SiriusXM, Brolin said, “I don't know where they're going with it, no. It's not that I don't have an interest in it. They have their own trajectory that they're worrying about and if they want me to do it,”

The actor added that he is sure that he would do it, but he doesn't know what the makers are thinking.

Thanos was first introduced in the MCU at the end credit scenes of Avengers, but Brolin first played the antagonist only in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014. Starting out as short cameos, the character became the main villain only in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

With the latest phase of the MCU focused on the multiverse, the return of Thanos is not all out of the question. But Phase Four of the MCU is building up towards introducing Kang the Conqueror.

Fans also got more of Thanos in the animated series, What If…?, which is available on Disney+ Hotstar. A more likeable version of Thanos was seen in the show’s episode which focused on T’Challa.

Josh Brolin, who was last seen as Gurney Halleck in the uber-successful Dune, is now the leading star in the supernatural mystery thriller series Outer Range. The series is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
