Is #Kiccha46 a thriller with Kiccha Sudeep in cop mode?

The much-awaited promo of Kiccha Sudeep’s next, currently called #Kiccha46 will not be here for another few days, what with the makers saying that the post-production is taking longer than expected. That, of course, has given fans extra time to put on their thinking caps about what the Kannada superstar may have in store for them after all. The promo, which was expected on June 1, is likely to drop by June 5 latest.

While the team has not officially announced the director’s name, debutant Vijay Karthikeyan is apparently the lucky one to direct Sudeep, with Harris Jayaraj supposedly on board as composer for the film, which will be shot as a Kannada-Tamil bilingual. The Kannada actor had earlier tweeted that he had greenlit three different films in genres that have excited him. The thriller genre is one that Sudeep seems to like and fans think that #Kiccha46 is most likely one. Several netizens have tweeted that it will most likely be a crime thriller, with Sudeep playing a cop/investigating officer. Some discussions have also begun about who could be the leading lady of the film. Keerthy Suresh is, undoubtedly a fan favourite, but some reckon that Simrat Kaur, who has done Telugu films and will be seen in the upcoming Gadar 2 with Sunny Deol, is a name heard associated with the project.

The buzz is that Sudeep has allotted only two months to the film, following which he is expected to begin work on Billa Ranga Baashaa with Anup Bhandari. The film, set in the future, is, according to sources, being made on a large scale, necessitating it in two parts and will be entirely shot on specially erected sets.
