Is Mirzapur 4 the last season? Ali Fazal reveals

Ask any entertainment lover about which Indian series is their favourite, and Mirzapur pops up in their head as it is one of the most-loved among fans. 3 seasons were released and they received equal love. Now, the makers are gearing up for Mirzapur The Film, which is the movie adaptation of the popular series. In a new interview, Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu Bhaiya, revealed that Mirzapur Season 4 might be the last.

Speaking to Hindi Rush, Ali Fazal said that the whole cast of Mirzapur is very excited about Mirzapur The Film and revealed that the series might end with the 4th season. Ali said, "We are all very excited and the original cast is coming back for it and just last week, I heard the script. It's very nice. It's going to be a big surprise for everyone.”

Talking about the series, Fazal said, "That (the new season) is still being written because… I don't know… It will probably be the last season.” Hinting that it is going to be something unique as they are turning the series into a film, the Metro... In Dino actor said, "Peaky Blinders has done the same format. They are making a film out of that."

About Mirzapur Season 4

Mirzapur Season 4 will likely pick up where Season 3 left off, with Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal) fighting to hold on to power. On the other hand, Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) may be planning his grand comeback. This season will likely see more political manoeuvring, betrayal, and surprising twists as new characters emerge and old rivalries rekindle.

Mirzapur: The Film is a planned film adaptation of the popular web series, which continues the story of the lawless city of Mirzapur and its power struggle. The film will feature the original cast, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, and Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya, and is expected to be released in 2026. The story will likely focus on the ongoing conflict for control of Mirzapur, with characters competing for power and navigating the criminal underworld. It also features Rasia Dugal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, and others. 

Earlier, speaking with Mid-Day, Ali Fazal revealed why Mirzapur is being made into a film. "The idea is to take it to the people whose story it is. There are many who aren’t fully tuned into OTT," he said.
