Is Naslen-starrer Premalu 2 shelved? Here's what Director Girish AD has to say

Girish AD achieved widespread acclaim with his directorial, Premalu, which is digitally available to watch on JioHotstar, Aha Telugu and OTTplay Premium. Fans of this romantic comedy drama have been ecstatic whenever there have been any reports of its sequel. The filmmaker has denied rumours that Premalu 2 has been shelved, according to the latest details.

'Premalu 2 will happen after...'

Girish stated in a media interview that he will only begin work on Premalu 2 following his next movie, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. He went on to say that the majority of the sequel's locales will be in India and abroad. The director stated, "We knew Premalu would be a successful project, but we never imagined it to be such an incredible success at the box office."

Following the film's enormous success, the romantic comedy drama's sequel was announced last year. According to recent sources, disagreements among the crew, producers, or actors caused the film to be shelved. Some, meantime, asserted that the movie's delay was due to the script's inability to adequately comply with Premalu. After a great theatrical run, Premalu, which starred Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the key roles, made over Rs 100 crore at the box office.

Girish AD's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, the director's upcoming film featuring Nivin Pauly, is billed as a romantic comedy drama. Mamitha Baiju will play the film's female lead. This film, written by Girish AD and Kiran Josey, was funded by Bhavana Studios, which is owned by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran. This is the sixth movie produced by the team. Vishnu Vijay will compose the movie's soundtrack. 

Production on the film is reportedly scheduled to start in late September or early October. It has been announced that pre-production is now underway. In the meantime, there were reports that the project was a high-budget movie. Meanwhile, an exciting cast is anticipated for this project.
