Is Pradeep Ranganathan teaming up with THIS director for his next?

Love Today fame actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan has been signing quite a few projects lately. He has already commenced shooting for Vignesh Shivan’s project, titled Love Insurance Policy (LIC), is now speculated to be collaborating with Ashwanth Marimuthu, who previously helmed Ashok Selvan starrer Oh My Kadavule. Pradeep will be playing the lead in the upcoming movie, which is likely to go on floors after he wraps up shooting for LIC. 

Vignesh Shivan’s Love Insurance Policy stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty

Actor-director Pradeep, who previously helmed projects like Comali and Love Today, will be seen in Vignesh’s upcoming romantic comedy Love Insurance Policy, alongside Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah and Yogi Babu. A film’s puja ceremony was recently organised. It was attended by Pradeep, Suryah and Krithi, along with Anirudh Ravichander, who will be scoring music for the film. Meanwhile, acclaimed cinematographer Ravi Varman will be handling camerawork. The project is bankrolled under the banner of Seven Screen Studio. 

Nayanthara to play Pradeep Ranganathan’s sister in Love Insurance Policy?

According to reports, Jawan star Nayanthara - who is also Vignesh’s wife, will feature in Love Insurance Corporation in an extended cameo. She is likely to play Pradeep’s elder sister in the upcoming romcom. Makers are yet to announce it officially though. 

Pradeep Ranganathan directed Love Today

Pradeep’s last directorial, Love Today, emerged as a sleeper hit at the box office. Backed by AGS Entertainment, the movie revolves around the life of a young couple in their mid-20s, and how exchanging their phones changes their lives. The film’s cast included Sathyaraj, Yogi Babu, Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Ravi, among others.

Has Ashwanth Marumuthu’s film with Silambarasan TR been shelved?

Director Ashwanth Marumuthu, who is best known for his 2020 romantic comedy film Oh My Kadavule, had planned to do a romantic drama film with Silambarasan TR in 2021. However, the project did not take off due to unspecified reasons. This was also said to be backed by AGS Entertainment.
