Is Srijit Mukherji planning a new film?

Several upcoming Bengali films are at the centre of attention in 2024. Srijit Mukherji's Tekka is surely one among them. The director is all set to start the shooting of the thriller that features Dev, Rukmini Maitra, Swastika Mukherjee, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Paran Bandyopadhyay in the lead. 

Last year, Dev and Srijit's camps fought each other on the making of Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s Durgo Rahasya. They made a film and a series based on the same story at the same time. However, later they reconciled and Dev invited Srijit to attend the film's promotion. Then it was known that Dev would be the hero in Srijit's new film. 

In the meantime, Srijit reportedly started thinking about his next film, Mind Game. Reports suggest that it will be a courtroom drama, according to TollyBangla Box-Office. 

The poster of Tekka was released recently. It shows a gun being held at the head of a child. It remains to see whether Dev will be the gunman or the protector of the kid. 

It was heard that Parambrata Chatterjee would work in this film. However, he is currently busy with his directorial venture, Ei Rat Tomar Amar, and hence, reportedly declined the offer. Tota Roy Chowdhury will replace him. 

Tekka is supposed to be released this Durga Puja and Mind Game will come the next Puja.
