The Family Man season 2 to release in May?

There's some good news for fans of The Family Man! The second season of Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani-starrer could be released next month, according to the grapevine.

The Amazon Prime original web series was initially slated for release on February 12, but the makers had to postpone the release due to "unforeseeable circumstances".

Latest reports suggest that the web show might release in May. When there were reports that the second season of the hit show was on the backburner, its creators Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK took to Instagram and confirmed that the show is definitely releasing in summer this year. So, it does seem likely that The Family Man Season 2 might release in less than a month's time.

A statement by the filmmaker duo read, "We know you have been eagerly waiting for the new season of The Family Man. We are truly grateful and humbled by all the love! We have an update for you. The Family Man Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video this summer! We have been working super hard to get you a kickass season. And we are pretty sure you will love it. Can’t wait to bring it to you!"

In The Family Man, Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee plays the lead role of Srikant Tiwari, who tries to manage time between his secretive job as an NIA operative and taking care of his children.

The second season will also have a new addition in Telugu actress Samantha Akkineni. Her role has been kept under wraps till date. The first season had Malayalam actor Neeraj Madhav in a pivotal role.
