There have been several beneficial improvements as a result of the OTT explosion. Isha Talwar thinks the largest benefit is the increase in female-centric roles supported by writers. The actor is overjoyed to be working with Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar, Dimple Kapadia, and Radhika Madan on Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo.

The heroine condition does exist. OTT, though, is happily changing that. According to Isha, who recently appeared in Mirzapur, one has diverse characters and doesn't have to necessarily fit into the damsel-in-distress template.

The actor was aware that she would need to produce a web series that was more successful than the crime drama in order to follow it up, given its enormous popularity. Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo by its creator-director Homi Adajania, in which the matriarchal women of a family openly lead a cartel while controlling the largely male-dominated world of narcotics, looked to be the ideal response.

The actor recalled and told Mid Day that she delayed doing anything she felt strongly about that was better than Mirzapur for a year after the series. This series had a good vibe. Regarding the Disney+ Hotstar offering, Homi sent her a gazillion voice notes about the character, and she was fairly excited about the brief given to her.

Apart from Mirzapur, Isha has been a part of a few web series, mainly Parchhayee on ZEE5. The actor works in several languages down south, and earlier this year, she was seen in the Tamil film, Run Baby Run. Last year, she was seen in the Malayalam film Theerppu and also in Rishi Kapoor's last film, Sharmaji Namkeen.

In Mirzapur, Isha plays the role of Madhuri Yadav Tripathi, who was a widow and became the wife of Munna Tripathi, played by Divyendu Sharma. The shoot for the third season is underway, and the series is likely to be out on Prime Video next year.
