Ishaa Saha and Gourab Roy Chowdhury showcase a white wedding in Bengali style

Clad in white and gold, Ishaa Saha and Gourab Roy Chowdhury are seen taking vows and tying the knot in a music video. The wedding, evidently, seems traditional and yet it is strikingly different from the usual Bengali weddings. The bride wore a Banarasi saree, but not red, rather gorgeous white. The shehnai is replaced by Tagore’s songs. However, the ceremony is as regal as any big fat Indian wedding.

Celebrity designer Abhishek Roy introduced his wedding collection Saptapadi through the video. “A white Banarasi saree is unusual for a Bengali wedding. However, this is part of Brahma wedding rituals. The music video is an effort to capture the traditions of Brahma weddings. It is so close to our culture and yet we know very little about it. The actual Brahma wedding goes on for a couple of hours but we tried to capture it in five minutes,” he told OTTplay.

The video was conceptualised by Abhisek. Srijan Chatterjee, Durnibar Saha, Iman Chakraborty, and others presented the song. Rathideep Bhattacharya composed the music.

The music video was launched at an event in Kolkata recently. Swastika Mukherjee, Swastika Dutta, Gourab Chatterjee, Devlina Kumar, Anindya Chatterjee, and many other celebs were present at the event. The music video has already gained momentum on social media.
