Ishaa Saha to play sleuth in Joydeep Mukherjee’s next

After Indu, Ishaa Saha will play a detective once again. In the Bengali entertainment industry, there are not many women detectives. There is Mitin Masi on the big screen and Damayanti Sen on the web. Ishaa is the addition to BB Bakshi. Joydeep Mukherjee will bring the sleuth in 2025. Paramita Munshi has penned the story for the new platform Fridaay. Binodbala Bakshi hails from an interior village and is a police constable but is sharp as a sleuth. Can she prove herself? 

Joydeep has gifted us many detective projects. The series Missing Link starring Anirban Chakraborty and Loknath Dey has been released recently. Did he get interested in this series because the number of female detectives is less? Joydeep agreed, "It is not much seen that a village girl turns to a detective from a constable. This is the main attraction of BB Bakshi." Paramita also supported Joydeep, "People always love the story of a common girl becoming special. The story will show rural politics, obstacles to girls' development, and the family affairs of a working woman." | 

Ishaa has personality and softness in her features. How will she become a rough and tough sleuth?  

The director said, "The lives of the village girls are still centered around marriage. BB Bakshi is also like that. She gets married at the beginning of the series." When the girl goes to the police station, she presents a tough appearance. Her name Binod is also somewhat masculine. So, the detective has a dual personality, she is like a shadow of Byomkesh Bakshi. The director said that Ishaa will have both soft and tough aspects in her character.  

Paramita wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogue. Joydeep is with her. The other actors have not yet been decided. Both of them hope that the screenplay will be ready at the end of this month. The shooting might start in December. Most of the shootings will take place in rural areas. Paramita said that a single story cannot grasp the whole of BB as she will evolve over time. Hence, they are planning for a franchise.
