Ishaan Khatter-Bhumi Pednekar's The Royals has been released and is not receiving the love like the makers expected. Nonetheless, the leading actor Ishaan seems to have hinted at season 2 of the TV series. Ishaan Khatter has hinted at The Royals season 2 by talking about everything that was not covered in the first season. The actor, during an interview with Filmfare, told Lisa Mishra (plays Nikki in The Royals) that since she missed seeing him being launched out of a helicopter, he would 'do that in season 2'.

Ishaan further went on to call The Great Gambler actress Zeenat Aman their 'secret confidant' or 'Royal advisor' in The Royals season 2. Not just that, Vihaan Samat went on to call Dino Morea the 'Royal Rival.' He then added that Nora Fatehi is also a deserving candidate for the title.

The Royals bashed by both critics as well as viewers

Neither the critics nor the viewers have been too kind to The Royals. Although Ishaan's new side explored is something everyone liked seeing in the TV series, the unanimous voice is that there is no strong storyline or screenplay to hold on to.

The Royals features Ishaan with Sonchiriya actress Bhumi Pednekar playing the female lead. The show, released on May 9 on Netflix, is about Maharaj Aviraaj Singh (Ishaan) and his royal family going bankrupt. It is about how CEO Sophia Kanmani Shekhar (Bhumi) steps in to save the day and hopefully, be a part of the family through him. The series also stars Zeenat Aman, Dino, Nora, Chunky Panday, Sakshi Tanwar, Vihaan, Milind Soman, Lisa, Sumukhi Suresh, Luke Kenny, Kavya Trehan and Udit Arora in pivotal roles.
