Having a mentor can be a tremendous help in the early stages of one's career. Ishaan Khatter's half-brother, Shahid Kapoor, has been his unwavering support system. He claims that as Khatter followed in the actor's footsteps and entered the movie industry over the past five years, their connection has changed. So does he ask Kapoor for career advice? No and yes. Although they often talk about their careers, according to Khatter, their shared hobbies are what really bring them together.

Khatter told Mid Day that he constantly goes to Kapoor for advice. He is a key person in his life and has taught him and given him affection. The Dhadak actor is constantly trying to find ways to provide him with the happiness and company he once had. As they can now chat about more topics, they are entering a fascinating phase in which they are growing closer to one another. Also, their interests are comparable, so they go riding and watch movies together.

Khatter, however, always goes with his gut while choosing his ventures. His creative instincts led him to make Phone Bhoot, a horror comedy with Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Beyond the Clouds (2017) and A Suitable Boy (2020) were also out of the ordinary. At this point, experimentation is the plan.

He said that he's just starting off in his career. He has had the good fortune to be cast in a variety of roles and be liked in most of them. In terms of stories, there is a lot to investigate, and experimenting makes him feel more enriched as an artist. Khatter also felt a sense of obligation, so he considered his decisions carefully.

He is paired with Kaif in the Gurmmeet Singh-directed film Phone Bhoot, a person he has long respected. His inexperience and Khatter's experience came together in an intriguing way.

Khatter said that Kaif has worked with different directors and has a ton of experience as a star and an actor. He was interested in how things would go with her. Khatter called Kaif diligent and professional while on the sets.
