Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor is on cloud nine today as he has clocked 11 years in the industry. The star made his debut with the film Ishaqzaade and soon went on to carve out his own niche in the industry.

Taking to Twitter, the Kapoor clad posted, “11 years of falling in love with the world of movies. 11 years of Ishaqzaade,” and attached a bunch of pictures and videos from the film.

Born to the Surinder Kapoor family, he is the son of film producer Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie. However, Arjun’s journey in the industry has not been an easy one. The star too had a fair share of ups and downs in his career. In 2022, Arjun starred in director Mohit Suri's Ek Villain Returns with John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria which did not perform well at the box office. In 2021, Kapoor starred in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which too, failed at the box office.

However, with films like Ishaqzaade, Gunday and 2 States (both 2014) and Ki & Ka (2016) to his credits, Arjun has tasted the flavour of commercial success.

Talking about Arjun’s debut film Ishaqzaade, this action romantic drama film is written and directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The film encircles two political families whose rivalry and mutual hatred for one another go back generations. However, their lives take a turn when Parma Chauhan (as Arjun) and Zoya Qureshi (as actor Parineeti Chopra), each from the rival family, fall in love with each other. What happens when their families find out that their children are having an affair? As shown in the film, their families set out to kill them. The film also throws light on having patriarchal chauvinistic parents, believing in discriminatory caste system and how this mentality can be problematic in society.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun will next be seen in Siddharth Anand's action thriller Maut.
