'Isolated myself to get into the skin of my character': Aamna Sharif on how she prepped for Damaged 3

Aamna Sharif, who starred in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, will play DSP Rashmi Singh in the psychological thriller online series Damaged 3. The trailer is out, and the actor claims she has given it her all to play such a difficult part. Sharif remarked on the process of getting into the skin of her character. 

She told IANS that it was difficult for her to play a cop on TV because she had never done so before. For the first time, she had attended acting workshops in order to get it right.

Sharif went on to discuss the challenges she faced and how she overcame them while portraying a character that is opposed to herself. The actor revealed that, in actual life, Rashmi is the polar opposite of me. So, a few days before going on the floor, she started dressing up as her character to better understand herself and her psyche. To get into the skin of my character, Sharif even separated herself from herself, and it had a significant impact on her ability to perform in front of the camera.

Sharif and Shrenu Parikh star in the key roles of Damaged season three. Parikh plays a journalist in the series, and Ekant Babani has directed the show.

In the series, Rashmi (Aamna Sharif) is a tough cop who is known for her boldness and fearlessness. She not only quickly rose to the top of a male-dominated field, but she also earned the respect of her peers and the rest of the town. Shanaya (Shrenu Parikh) is a new journalist on the hunt for a ground-breaking scoop, which takes her to Rashmi's front door. Shanaya is ready to go to any length to get the next big breaking news now that her report on the female supercop has become a hit. 

Fortunately for her, a series of serial homicides in the area provides her with the dramatic news stories she requires for her website. Her need for information and the truth, however, puts her in direct conflict with Rashmi. Damaged 3 builds to an explosive encounter and an unexpected outcome, with each woman harbouring terrible secrets and vowing to destroy the other.

Damage season three will be available on Hungama Play on January 20, 2022.
