After working together as the lead pair in Raj Chakrabarty’s Habji Gabji, Parambrata Chatterjee and Subhashree Ganguly have joined hands for another project, Boudi Canteen. The film is directed by Paramabrata with Subhashree, Soham Chakraborty and Anashua Majumder as the key characters. On Monday, the actress and director declared that the shooting was finally over for the film.
Parambrata posted a selfie with the whole team and mentioned how they avoided the rains. “Negotiated hard with the rain to finish shoot for #boudicanteen last night! It’s been such a sweet little journey so far!” he wrote.
Earlier, while talking to OTTplay, Parambrata mentioned that Boudi Canteen is a ‘sweet little film’. “Aritra (Sen, producer) came up with a small idea which we developed into this sweet little film,” the director said.
According to the director, the film is about women's empowerment. It delves into the life of a regular homemaker. The film is scheduled to be released in Puja.
Meanwhile, Subhashree has also posted a group photo with the team and called it an ‘incredible journey’. While talking to OTTplay earlier, the actress said she enjoyed working under Parambrata’s direction. She also exclaimed that she could love to work with the director in the future. “He is calm and sorted on the set. I would like to work with him again,” she told us.
Parambrata and Subhashree have paired up in Raj Chakraborty’s Habji Gabji which deals with gaming disorders among children. In the film, the duo plays a couple, whose son gets addicted to mobile gaming. Hijab Gabji delves into the dark reality of how this addiction leaves a permanent scar on their family.
Meanwhile, Parambrata has been continuing his journey in Bollywood. He will be seen as the lead in Kannada filmmaker Pawan Wadeyar's fisrt Hindi film, Notary. The actor has recently completed the shooting of Nikhil Advani's Mumbai Diaries season 2 with Konkona Sen Sharma and Satyajit Dubey. He has worked in Sudhir Mishra’s unnamed project – a part of Anubhav Sinha-produced anthology – with Taapsee Pannu.
