The star of Dhananjaya has been on the constant rise over the past year or two and the upcoming slew of film releases is a testament to this fact. Having ended the year 2021 on a high with successful outings in Ratnan Prapancha, Pushpa: The Rise, and Badava Rascal, Dhananjaya now has a vibrant second half of 2022 to look forward to. The self-made actor will have consecutive releases between July and October, and to make things better for the fans, each of the four films is starkly distinct from one another. Dhananjaya was last seen in the Kannada-Malayalam bilingual 21 Hours as the sketchy cop wherein he proved that he is willing to experiment with films of every kind and thus, showcase his versatility as an actor.
As far as the upcoming releases are concerned, first up is the much-awaited ensemble film Bairagee which comes out on July 1st. Shiva Rajkumar headlines this film directed by cinematographer Vijay Milton and along with Dhananjaya, Anjali, Pruthvi Ambaar, and Yasha Shivakumar too star in it. Shivanna and Daali, who were last seen locking horns in Tagaru, will be facing off for the second time on screen and audiences are particularly keen on witnessing this interesting dynamic unfold on the big screen.
The second film in the sequence is the retro romance Monsoon Raaga. Rachita Ram stars opposite Dhananjaya for the first time and the film's moody, rain-soaked musical has already charmed the digital audience. J. Anoop Seelin's music will be a major part of this film which comes out on August 12.
Once Upon in Jamaligudda, directed by Kushal Gowda, will hit the big screens on September 9th. The film is billed as a travel film that is set in a fictional place called Jamaligudda, and Dhananjaya and Aditi Prabhudeva will play the main leads in the film. The first look posters featuring both the actors have already piqued the interests of the audience, and with an extended cast that includes Prakash Belawadi, Nandagopal, Yash Shetty, Triveni, and others, the film looks a promising one.
And the last entry on the list is the lip-smacking biopic Head Bush wherein Dhananjaya plays the yesteryear Bengaluru gangster M.P. Jayaraj. Written by former gangster and author Agni Shreedhar and directed by Shoonya, Head Bush is out on October 21st and the film also stars Payal Rajput, Sruthi Hariharan, Raghu Mukherjee, Yogesh, and many others. Veteran actor V. Ravichandran will be seen playing a special role in the film.
