Kartik Aaryan wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming movie opposite Sreeleela. In doing so, the Silvat actor hinted at the release date of the movie. And it so happens that the film, which is assumed to be Aashiqui 3, is likely to clash with Ayushmann Khurrana-Rashmika Mandanna's Thama. Both the movies are looking at the Diwali 2025 opening.
We might end up seeing a new clash at the Box Office. This time, it wouldn't be between superstars in its essential sense but between two competitors from Bollywood. Kartik Aaryan, who began his career with comedy, has transformed into a passionate lover for his next opposite South diva, Sreeleela. Similarly, Ayushmann Khurrana, known for his unconventional and mostly comic roles (too), has now turned a vampire for the much-awaited film from Maddock Supernatural Universe (Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree, Varun Dhawan's Bhediya being part of the franchise). The movie, backed by Go Goa Gone producer Dinesh Vijan, also features the South diva Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. So, this Diwali 2025 could see a Box Office battle like never before.
Kartik Aaryan-Sreeleela's untitled film would also be called Aashiqui 3. The makers have clarified that it is not a part of the Aashiqui franchise but the buzz that the movie would be along the lines of a tragic love story, Aashiqui-style, remains strong. Kartik's intense look for the Anurag Basu directorial only adds fuel to the speculation fire, but an official title announcement is awaited.
Aditya Sarpotdar's Thama is the next offering from the Maddock Supernatural Universe. The movie features Costao actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui apart from Ayushmann and Rashmika. The movie introduces a vampire to the franchise, which has ghosts, including Stree, Sarkata and a werewolf (Bhediya). One of the much-awaited moments from the film is where the Bhediya would clash with the vampire. It would feature an intense fight between Badlapur actor Varun Dhawan and Ayushmann Khurrana. The same was hinted at with Stree 2 ending. Nawazuddin Siddiqui's role is also kept under wraps, so it would be interesting to see the world unfold (hopefully soon).
