The trailer of Challenging Star Darshan’s Kaatera is finally out. Although fans had a harrowing time waiting for the trailer with no update on the exact time it would drop online, when it eventually came out, they couldn’t be happier. Director Tharun Kishore Sudhir had promised a surprise and he delivered on his word and how. Fans can’t stop gushing about the ‘raw’ and ‘intense’ trailer that’s giving them goosebumps. The fact that Tharun is presenting Darshan in two distinctive shades, including an older avatar, is being lauded widely.
Overall, Tharun’s trailer cut has won a lot of praise, although some audiences thought that he should have maintained Darshan’s older version look as a surprise. Maasthi’s dialogues, reckon audiences, will be sure-shot winners, given how well Darshan has used them with varied modulations. But what isn’t working for the film is V Harikrishna’s music and heroine Aradhanaa, they felt. Harikrishna’s social media share of the trailer saw him being trolled by netizens who said he ought to get updated or give up on doing music for big hero projects.
Kaatera, according to the team, is about an issue that plagued farmers in the 70s. The trailer did not shine light on the exact subject, as Tharun focused on highlighting the mass and elevation moments of the film. The film, which is releasing in theatres on December 29, also stars Shruthi, Kumar Govind, Ravi Chetan, Jagapathi Babu, Achyuth Kumar, Biradar, among many others. The film is only releasing in Kannada and is coming out only a week after Salaar and Dunki.
