It’s official! Aamir Khan announces his next film Sitaare Zameen Par, calls it '10 steps ahead of Taare Zameen Par'

Aamir Khan has announced the release of his next film, Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor is finally coming back with an acting project and has announced the same at a recent event. He has confirmed the speculations of the film at the event. Like you can expect, th e film is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par. Aamir made the announcement on Mental Health Day.

The announcement

Aamir made the announcement at the recently held News18 Amrit Ratna Samman. He clarified that the film is based on the same theme as Taare Zameen Par. Aamir then added that Sitaare Zameen Par is much more than the original film. “We are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme,” he confirmed.

What is the difference?

While Taare Zameen Par is an emotional movie, Aamir confirms that Sitaare Zameen Par will entertain viewers. He also spoke about the clear difference in terms of the lead character. While he helped the child in Taare Zameen Par, nine people will help his character in Sitaare Zameen Par.

Aamir’s last movie and current association

Aamir Khan was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha. The film, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh, is the official Hindi adaptation of Forrest Gump. The movie, unfortunately, did not work at the Box Office.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s name is currently associated with Rajkumar Santoshi’s next with Sunny Deol. Aamir is co-producing the movie with Jio Cinema. The film is tentatively titled Lahore, 1947 and has the backdrop of the India-Pakistan partition.
