Fahadh Faasil and Anwar Rasheed have put to rest all the reports regarding whether or not the duo will come together for a film soon. The actor recently announced the duo’s next project together, in which Anwar will be serving as a producer. OTTplay had earlier reported about the duo’s upcoming collaboration, and Fahadh made the official announcement regarding the same on Thursday.
Fahadh took to social media to make the announcement, sharing a picture of a clapboard from the sets, with the words ‘Production no.1’ written on it. The film went on floors on Thursday in Bangalore.

The upcoming film will star Fahadh in the lead role, and will be produced by Anwar, Nazriya Nazim, and Sameer Thahir under the banners of Anwar Rasheed Entertainments and Fahadh Faasil and Friends. The film will be helmed by Romancham director Jithu Madhavan.
Fahadh and Anwar’s last collaboration came in the form of the 2020 film, Trance, which saw the former share the screen with Dileesh Pothan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Nazriya Nazim, Chemban Vinod, Vinayakan, Sreenath Bhasi, Arjun Ashokan, Soubin Shahir and Jinu Joseph. The film, streaming on Amazon Prime Video, had been directed and produced by Anwar. Fahadh and Anwar had also collaborated on Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days, which Anwar co-produced.
Meanwhile, Fahadh was last seen in the survival thriller Malayankunju, directed by Sajimon Prabhakar and written by Mahesh Narayanan. The film, which also featured Rajisha Vijayan, Indrans, Jaffar Idukki and Deepak Parambo, can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
Fahadh’s upcoming releases include the highly awaited sequel of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, written and directed by Sukumar, which marked the former’s Telugu debut. The actor will also be seen in the Malayalam films, Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira and Hanuman Gear. Pachuvum Athbhuthavilakum and Pawan Kumar's Dhoomam are also in the actor’s pipeline.
