It's official! Jim Sarbh gets onboard Dhanush and Nagarjuna's DNS

The Dhanush-and-Nagarjuna-starrer DNS or D51, directed by Telugu Sekhar Kammula, officially commenced shooting earlier this month in Hyderabad. The makers have now announced that a new actor has been brought onboard. Jim Sarbh, of Made In Heaven fame, is now officially a part of the upcoming project. The film’s team took to their social media handles to share the exciting news with a caption that read, “A master of his craft @jimSarbh is now immersed in the enchanting universe of #DNS. Brace yourself for his MASTERCLASS performance”(sic).

Jim Sarbh to make his Tamil and Telugu debuts with DNS

Bollywood actor Jim Sarbh, who has been a part of several hit shows and films, is venturing into South Indian cinema with DNS. Since the film is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Jim will be making his debut in both the film industries with this film. Although nothing about his role has been revealed yet, our guess is that the actor is an antagonist in the multi-starrer, yet-to-be-titled project. Of course, only time and [the makers] can confirm this.

DNS will also see Telugu superstar Nagarjuna sharing screen space with Dhanush for the first time. Animal actress Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in this project, which is bankrolled by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao.

DNS is inspired by true events

The film, which is being promoted under the hashtag #DNS, an abbreviation of the names of ‘Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Sekhar Kammula', is also tentatively titled D51. Earlier in 2023, when the film was announced, a concept poster was unveiled that showcased a stash of money with high-rise buildings and slums on either side, hinting at the film's intriguing plot. According to the latest reports, the film is inspired by true events.  

With an ensemble star cast including Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead, we can certainly expect something exciting from the upcoming project. The movie’s cinematography will be handled by Niketh Bommi, while the production design is handled by Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre. Earlier, while announcing the commencement of the shoot, the makers revealed that other key details will be unveiled soon!
