It's official! Mahesh Babu's 28th film to be directed by Trivikram; watch promo

There's no day more eventful for fans than the birthday of their favourite stars. It's the day they witness the promos of the star's next film, get to hear exciting announcements and the event is nothing short of a festival on social media. This is turning out to be true in the case of actor Mahesh Babu's birthday today as well. While the star's fans were treated to a kickass teaser of Sarkaru Vaari Paata earlier in the day, there's more good news coming their way. The much-awaited announcement about the actor's collaboration with Athadu director Trivikram is here. The makers of the untitled film, Haarika and Hassine Creations, have released a special promo commemorating Mahesh Babu's birthday, where they had announced the cast and crew of the film.

Mahesh Babu's film with Trivikram is the actor's 28th project in his career and will feature Pooja Hegde as the female lead. S Thaman, who's associated with almost every big project that has been announced in Telugu cinema over the last few months, will compose music for the same. The promo was cut with a foot-tapping background score by the music director. Experienced cinematographer Madhie, National award-winning editor Navin Nooli, art director AS Prakash form the film's technical crew. PDV Prasad serves as the executive producer for the film. It's not yet known if this film has the same story that Trivikram had pitched to Jr NTR in the past (the project got shelved later).

Mahesh Babu's earlier films with Trivikram, Athadu (streaming on Hotstar) and Khaleja (streaming on SunNXT) brought out his best as a versatile performer and there's little doubt that this combination will create similar magic this time around too. Incidentally, this film is also Pooja Hegde's third project with Trivikram after hits like Aravinda Sametha (ZEE5) and Alaa Vaikunthapurramulo (SunNXT). Mahesh Babu is also slated to do a film with director SS Rajamouli under Durga Arts though it may take time for the project to formalise given the packed schedules of the director and the actor.
