It's official! Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 will hit the big screen on August 30, 2024

The cat is finally out of the bag! The second installment of Stree is coming to theatres soon. The makers of Stree 2 have officially announced the release date of the movie. Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Pankaj Tripathi, Stree 2 will be released on the big screen in 2024. The date locked for its theatrical release is August 30, 2024. It also features Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana.

Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films announced the release dates of its upcoming 10 movies. The list also includes Akshay Kumar's Sky Force, John Abraham's Tehran, and more. Needless to say, the production house spilled beans about Stree 2's release date as well. It is sure to excite the fans of the Stree franchise who were eagerly waiting for an update.

Amar Kaushik returns as the director for Stree 2. The first part, which was released in 2018, was successful at the box office. Having said that, the second installment will return exactly 6 years after Stree was released on August 31 (2018).

About Stree 2

For the unversed, Stree 2 was announced around the time Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's Bhediya was released in 2022. Amar Kaushik's Stree was the first part of Dinesh's horror-comedy universe. It was followed with the release of Bhediya. While there's no official update on Bhediya 2, Stree 2's official announcement is bound to create a stir on social media.

The filming of Shraddha and Rajkummar-starrer began in July this year. While sharing a short glimpse of Stree 2, Rao captioned his Instagram post, "Ek baar phir चंदेरी में फैला Aatank! स्त्री २ filming begins! Aa rahi hai woh- August 2024! (sic)."
