All those who were looking forward to a sequel to Vishnu Vishal's action thriller FIR, now have a reason to rejoice. Vishnu Vishal has confirmed in his social media handle that the film is all set to get a sequel. He wrote on his handle, "FIR 2 SOON !!!!! @VVStudioz (sic)." However, he didn't reveal any further details about the project.

FIR: Faizal Ibrahim Raiz is an action thriller, which starred Vishnu Vishal, Gautham Menon, Manjima Mohan, Reba Monica John, Raiza Wilson and Gaurav Narayanan. Vishnu played a Muslim youngster who is on the run from the authorities after he is suspected of being a terrorist. Music for the film is by Ashwath, cinematography by Arul Vincent and Prasanna GK. FIR was bankrolled by Vishnu Vishal himself.And that's not all. It was only recently that it was confirmed that Vishnu Vishal's Indru Netru Naalai, too, would get a sequel.

Vishnu Vishal, in the meantime, is basking in the success of his recent outing Gatta Kusthi, in which he plays a kabaddi player who marries a woman who is a polar opposite to his expectations. The sports drama and romantic comedy, is written and directed by Chella Ayyavu.The star cast includes Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Karunas, Sreeja Ravi, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, Redin Kingsley. Hareesh Peradi and Lizzie Antony to name a few. The film was also released in Telugu as Matti Kusthi and both the versions are now streaming on the digital platform, Netflix.

Vishnu has in his kitty Lal Salaam, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, which will also have Superstar Rajinikanth in a cameo appearance. Vishnu Vishal will be playing a cricketer in the film, along with Vikranth. AR Rahman is scoring music for the film. Interestingly, the duo are avid cricketers in real life, too. This apart, Vishnu will also be seen in Mohandas, Aaryan and Idam Porul Yeaval to name a few.
