Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke Exclusive! Why Regina Cassandra found it easy to transform herself into Kavya Iyer

Regina Cassandra transformed herself to fit into the role of her Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke character Kavya Iyer. However, unlike many, she did not face a difficult journey. There are some special reasons for that.

When it came to the physical fitness Kavya, an IPS officer, required, Regina didn’t face any problems. Since she as an active person, the actress says there was no obstacles in the path when it came to adopting the physical fitness required for the character.

“We had some form of training with weapons, artillery and action scenes but it wasn't stressful,” she shared. Of course, Regina had massive action scenes in the Zee5 series. She did train for those with her fight master Sushant but found the journey easier than most.

In the series, Kavya faces many rejections. She has been transferred from her department to another, which is in a way, demotion from her post. Not to forget, Kavya was raising a child on her own. She did not divorce her ex-husband but was a single mother anyway, making life even more complicated.

Barun Sobti plays her ex-husband. He is seen in the role of IAS officer Sameer Gupta.

The show also features Sumeet Vyas as Tariq, Mita Vashisht as Mahira Rizvi, Chandan Roy as Chandan and Gayathrie as Thasleena. Out of them, Sumeet plays the role of the lead antagonist.

Directed by Srijit Mukherji, Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke released on January 26, 2023. The show is currently streaming on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium.
